A character illustration for an elven warrior equipped with a heavy suit of knight’s armor. I applied oil painting techniques with digital tools and brushes in Photoshop in order to create this piece. It builds off the theme of victory and glory, with the warrior and the banner as the central points. I want the piece to convey the idea of a fantasy that is grounded within reality, so I made choices in the armor design to better reflect that of a real knight, as opposed to many of the modern fantasy designs that are more aesthetically fascinating but not very practical.
